Updated: Feb 15, 2021

On 30 June 2020, the Department of Employment and Labour officially announced that the GCC factories June 2020 exams will be written in November 2020 in combination with the November 2020 group.

The announcement officially pronounced the indefinite cancellation of the June 2020 GCC factories plant engineering and OHS Act exams. The decision was done after consultation with the Department of Higher Education and Training.

The exact date of the November 2020 exams is still not clear. From the DHET management plan, we can only see that the exams may be between 9 November 2020 and 4 December 2020. We will advise as soon as the exact dates are confirmed.

The examination for both the plant engineering factories (8190316) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (13050046) will take place in November 2020.

According to the Department of Employment and Labour, "GCC factories candidates who already register to sit for June 2020 examination, are encouraged to contact their respective colleges and make arrangements."

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) also issue an official memo to address the matter of the GCC factories OHS Act exam.
